The highlight of 2008 was when Sue Brown was given her first organic pigs (one gilt and one boar). The idea was to feed the organic whey to organic pigs in order to raise a high quality pork product. Amaltheia was now able to utilize its other main by-product. Now, Amaltheia has about 200 organic pigs that are fed sixty percent whey, are pasture raised, organically grown and raised, and they are thriving. The local Community Co-op and health food stores throughout Montana along with local customers are now able to enjoy this wonderful product.
